A 15-second leadership habit to nudge a customer-centric culture.
Leaders who want to foster a customer-centric culture can try out a 15-second habit.
Over time, this habit helps employees to align their most important work with the mission that a customer-centric company stands for: to generate value for its customers, and the organization.
At the start of every meeting, ask: "Which customer will benefit in what way from us having this meeting?".
Doing this once will not change much. However, asking this question at the start of your next 100 meetings will nudge employees to start with the customer and work backward.
Fostering customer-centricity can only be achieved through leadership behavior. Perhaps, one habit at a time.
